Tennessee Titans Rookies Read to Promising Scholars Students at High-Energy Literacy Event

My Brother’s Keeper and the Governor’s Early Literacy Foundation joined the players for their annual Rookies Read Across Nashville event, designed to make sure students do not lose ground with reading during the summer. Dr. Broderick Thomas and William Mason from My Brother’s Keeper opened with a call-and-repeat affirmation circle encouraging students to speak positive words to themselves each day. Dean Hoskins, vice president of The Governor’s Early Literacy Foundation, spoke to students about the importance of reading daily.
