In La Paz Chattanooga’s main lobby Friday, a group of Latino college students gathered to get help filling out the new federal financial aid application and learn how to balance a budget. The students are part of a new program called Avanzando Through College, which aims to empower first-generation Latino students and give them the support and resources needed to graduate from college.
