Today, one out of ten K-12 students in Tennessee is Latino. It is also estimated that Tennessee’s Latino population is expected to grow the fastest of all ethnic groups, expanding by nearly 400,000 people by 2040.

Join The Education Trust–Tennessee for an important conversation to explore national and state trends related to Latino student success, the important role for education advocates, and considerations for policymakers and leaders about how to ensure we are equipping Latino students in Tennessee to succeed in school and beyond.

Featured speakers include:

  • Amanda Fernandez, CEO and Founder of Latinos for Education
  • Laura Delgado, Program Director, Pionero Scholars, College of Education, Lipscomb University
  • Ruby Aguilar, Teacher, Glencliff High School, MNPS
