This spring, the DLC team has led a research project to identify the factors that most influence special education and EL teacher retention. In collecting over 300 survey responses, conducting focus groups, and interviewing teachers from across Tennessee, we have analyzed the data to identify themes that speak to the concerning trend of increasing teacher attrition.
We are thrilled to invite you to the Diverse Learner Teacher Retention research report launch. We will present our findings, hear from a diverse panel of teachers on the realities of the role, and offer recommendations for school, district, and state leaders to improve teacher retention for diverse learner educators.
