SUMMARY:BRIDGES Authentic Youth & Adult Engagement Training
DESCRIPTION:Far too often\, adults speak on behalf of students\, instead of with them. At The Education Trust in Tennessee\, we believe in centering the experiences of young people and actively engaging them is an integral part of our education advocacy strategy. Are you looking for ways to more meaningfully engage students in your work? \nThis training is for advocates looking for ways to engage youth as part of their organization’s programming and advocacy strategy. The event will be led by an intergenerational facilitation team that works with BRIDGES USA\, a Memphis-based organization that unites and inspires diverse young people to become confident and courageous leaders committed to community transformation. \nAttendees will identify the barriers and opportunities with youth and adult collaboration\, and share best practices and tangible tools to build youth and adult partnerships in order to advance your organization’s goals. Attendees will leave with next steps to foster meaningful youth engagement in your organization. \nWe encourage attendees to invite colleagues who want to work on building youth partnerships. \nRegister
