SUMMARY:A Closer Look: Centering Equity in Tennessee's Learning Loss Legislation
DESCRIPTION:Join The Education Trust in Tennessee as we examine the Tennessee Learning Loss Remediation and Student Acceleration Act that passed in the TN General Assembly in January of 2021. We will discuss the implications and features of the new law\, including the retention of 3rd grade students\, and offer recommendations and questions for consideration. We will be joined by Dr. Lisa Coons\, Chief of Standards and Materials at the Tennessee Department of Education and Scott Meltzer\, Director of Engagement at the Tennessee Department of Education who will share plans for the implementation and monitoring of impact of the legislation. \nRegister
